Simon's Story...At 50 years old, I was a successful business owner and a single father of three, living in one of the most beautiful parts of the UK — Cornwall. But behind the picture-perfect scenery, I was struggling.Despite owning two cars, a motorbike, and running a business that paid well, the rising cost of living made it harder and harder to make ends meet. Food prices were going up. Petrol was painful. I was paying £50 a month just for internet. Even with income, I felt like I was drowning. And deeper than that — I wasn’t happy.I’m also a Christian, and my faith means everything to me. I believe God was calling me to Poland — a country full of Catholic tradition, peaceful churches, and a spiritual atmosphere that instantly felt right.Of course, like most people, I once thought about moving to Spain or even Australia. But Australia was too far from my kids — my twin brother lives there, but I couldn’t do that to my family. And Spain… it just didn’t feel like me. It’s hot all the time. There’s no real change in the seasons.Poland? Poland still has seasons. Snow in winter. Sunshine in summer. Familiar, yet fresh. Here, I found peace.It wasn’t easy leaving my children. I won’t pretend it was. But something had to change. I was living in a damp, gloomy climate. I battled depression. I wanted light — both literally and spiritually.Now, I live near the mountains. I can breathe. The food is better. The pace of life is calmer. And the cost of living? A fraction of what it was back home.Poland has given me peace, simplicity, and purpose.
